Our Manifesto
How it all started!
According to legend, in 2732 B.C. Emperor Shen Nung discovered tea when
leaves from a wild tree blew into his pot of boiling water. He was
immediately interested in the pleasant scent of the resulting brew, and
drank some. Legend says the Emperor described a warm feeling as he drank
the intriguing brew, as if the liquid was investigating every part of
his body.
Just like that, with a single sip of tea my passion for tea was born and became a lifestyle. Later on I decided to share this warm feeling with all of You.
Trough my travels I had the joy to develop a close relationship with tea farmers and carefully select some of their unique produce.
Each tea will teleport you to a different part of the world and tell you it's warming story.
Why I say NO to tea bags?
Tea is the most popular drink consumed in Great Britain today, with
over 100,000,000 cups being drunk in the UK every single day, now imagine how much teabag waste does this leave behind.
I believe that recycling is probably the easiest way to feel like we are being
environmentally-conscious about waste management, and it is certainly
beneficial, but reducing waste is even more important
for creating a sustainable future.
That is why in Bristol Chai Project website you will find only loose-leaf tea.
